My name is Jo Maden; I am a Certified LifeCycle Celebrant™ and member of the Celebrant Foundation and Institute.  I offer unique and personal ceremonies to individuals, couples and families celebrating life milestone events: weddings, funerals, baby/child welcoming and more.

I hold a Master of Science Degree from the University of New Hampshire and was a pediatric speech pathologist throughout the seacoast of New Hampshire and southern Maine for over a decade.  I am a graduate of the Celebrant Foundation and Institute, a non-profit organization educating and training ceremonial speakers in the history, writing and performing of ceremonies.  I have enjoyed public speaking for over 20 years and discovered my passion for ceremonial speaking and officiating in 2008.

 

As a Certified LifeCycle Celebrant™ I am not affiliated with any faith community or religious doctrine.  The services I provide may be secular or spiritual and are dictated by the wishes of my clients.

I am a NH Justice of the Peace and an ordained inter-faith minister with the Universal Brotherhood Movement which allows me to legally perform weddings in ME and MA.

I welcome all individuals and families who invite me to share in their celebrations of life and love.  I am an ally and advocate for the LGBT community.
